Titanic Day at DESS!
The children in Year 5 were excited to have visitors from The Dubai English Speaking College ( DESC) come down to help them mark the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. We have been learning about the events of the evening of April 15th, 1912 and participated in a variety of activities including role play, life boat building and trial scenarios. Children were able to empathise with the different people on board the Titanic and demonstrated excellent understanding of what life would have been like for them. A special thank you to the children of 9D at DESC for sharing their knowledge of the Titanic with us!
