Welcome to FDESS! As a parent of DESS you are also a member of the Friends of DESS parent fund-raising group. FDESS endeavours to enhance and improve day to day school life by providing equipment, learning environments and opportunities that are outside the remit of the normal school budget. In so doing we are able to enrich the educational experience of the children and encourage them to develop and grow their full range of skills. We also enjoy organizing a few fun days and social events throughout the school year.
Parent volunteers and communication with parents are key to the success of our activities. You will hear from us through a variety of different channels; bulletin boards around the school, our website pages, and most importantly, our email network via the FDESS Class Representatives (a big hand to these vital parent volunteers!). To find out who your class representative is, just contact us. Through them, regular email updates about upcoming FDESS activities and opportunities to help are sent out. If you are not receiving regular FDESS updates, just let us know so we can ensure you do not miss out.
